At Sunrise Elementary School, students are enjoying new classroom materials thanks to Student Learning Assistant Whitney Robosky and her successful DonorsChoose campaign.
Robosky’s project, Flex Your Seat & Fuel Your Mind, was designed to provide flexible seating options that support student learning. Through the DonorsChoose platform, the project was fully funded, allowing her classroom to receive a variety of new seating materials.
“When students are comfortable, they’re more engaged, focused, and motivated to participate,” said Robosky. “Having a variety of seating options, like wave seats and comfy floor seats, helps meet the needs of all learners, from those who need movement to those who prefer a cozy, quiet corner.”
The new materials have already made a positive impact in the classroom, giving students additional opportunities to learn in ways that work best for them.
