Festive Fun Fills School Hallways

The stretch from Thanksgiving to Christmas may be brief, but it is one of the most spirited times of the year across the Penn-Trafford School District. With only a few short weeks to celebrate, schools make the most of the season by filling their hallways with creativity, joy, and holiday traditions.

Sunrise and McCullough Elementary Schools brought that festive energy to life with their own “Balloons Over Broadway” parades. Inspired by the famed Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City, students crafted balloon or paper plate animals and colorful characters to showcase.

Once complete, the young artists proudly paraded their creations through the hallways. Students and staff lined the routes to cheer them on, creating an atmosphere full of excitement, smiles, and holiday spirit.
