On September 11, 2024, the students in Mrs. Gutwald's second-grade class at Sunrise Elementary School (Penn-Trafford School District) listened to two books in observance of Patriot Day. After reading The Man Who Walked Between the Towers and This Very Tree, the class discussed the events of September 11, 2001. Each student was given a piece of a puzzle to color. When all the pieces were put together, they revealed a classroom poster.
