Therapy Dogs Visit Sunrise Elementary

Six therapy dogs from Thera-Paws, along with their handlers, visited Sunrise Estates Elementary School in late September.  Students in grades 2 through 5 are kicking off the school year’s ‘Accelerated Reader’ program, which has the theme ‘DOGS!’.  Library Aide Mrs. Ruth Panuccio reached out to Thera-Paws in hopes that her students would get excited about reading to the four-legged visitors.

“It was a wonderful experience, and a great way to encourage reading!” commented Panuccio.
