The kindergarten classes of Sunrise Estates Elementary School were able to give their ‘Kindness Rock Garden’ a refresh thanks to a grant from DonorsChoose.
Each student decorated a rock for the garden while their class discussed the importance of being kind. The finished rocks were added to the garden alongside those of kindergarteners from years past. The grant also provided funds for new mulch as well as statues and flags to decorate the garden. “The students loved decorating their rocks and displaying them in the garden,” commented teacher Mrs. Meyers.
