Students Run Virtual Pizza Shop

The 4th-grade students at Sunrise Estates Elementary School spent weeks learning about Trades and Markets in their Social Studies class.  The lesson covered supply and demand, customer satisfaction, creating and owning a business, and making profits.

To wrap up the unit, the students used the school’s Osmo devices to play the roles of ‘Osmo Pizza Shop’ owners. “The students had to run their own pizza shop, and were faced with challenges such as unhappy customers, a rat infestation, and even inflation,” said teacher Mrs. Watt.  “It was wonderful to see them all working together.”
