Sunrise Students Receive $40,000 in Books

Sunrise Estates Elementary School participated in a “Book Blast” fundraiser in October, raising over $40,000 in books.  Based on overwhelming support from the students’ families and friends, every student in the whole school received up to ten books to keep.  Sunrise teachers were also able to add to their classroom libraries.

“We are trying to get books in the hands of all kids,” said Sunrise principal Dr. Karin Coiner.   “We are so grateful to the community and families who donated - their generosity ultimately benefits our students and school!”
