In her first year as a Penn-Trafford teacher (Sunrise Estates Elementary School), Mrs. Emily Phetsomphou secured funding through DonorsChoose (a crowdfunding site for teachers) to obtain wobble chairs for her classroom. The new chairs have a round base that allows movement without tipping. The design of the chairs also helps to engage the children's core muscles as they sit.
“Being able to move around while they learn will help keep my first graders more engaged and more comfortable,” commented Mrs. Phetsomphou.
