Sunrise Estates Elementary School teachers, Mr. Joseph Pompilio and Mrs. Kristy Hartman made learning fun by incorporating a "Masked Writer" activity into their Reading and Language Arts curriculum. The activity was based on the television series "The Masked Singer".
Third and fourth graders were partnered with a mystery pen pal and received clues each week about who it was. Students wrote letters to their assigned partners which provided more details and information about themselves. After reading their letters, students got to study photos of their fellow students and make one weekly guess of who their pen pal was. This activity helped the students to provide details and information in their writing.
