Principal's Message
Hello! Welcome to Sunrise! We are delighted to have you and your family as a part of our school and district. Working at Sunrise and Penn-Trafford are some of the best parts of my day and I hope your experience will be as wonderful as mine.
Sunrise Estates Elementary School is a neighborhood school that houses grades K-5. We are one of five elementary schools for the district. Currently, our enrollment is just under 400 students. We have approximately 45 staff members that work in the building. We offer half-day Kindergarten, both AM and PM. Building services include speech and language, learning support, occupational therapy, physical therapy, gifted services, and ESL.
Sunrise is a wonderful building filled with caring and talented staff, along with kind and hard-working students. We work extremely hard at trying to make sure that each child’s experience is rewarding and successful. We truly want to work with you as a team. Education of children is one of the most valuable and challenging honors to hold. Thank you for entrusting us with this job. We all want your children to enjoy coming to school each day.
All families are encouraged to visit and explore the school website for information, stay connected with their child(ren)’s teachers, and use Powerschool to check grades regularly. The office is open Monday thru Friday from 8 am to 4 pm. If you call at other times, you will either be able to leave a message or someone may answer the phone if they are in the office.
