KINDERGARTEN AND NEW STUDENT REGISTRATION! Welcome to the Penn-Trafford School District!!
We are currently registering Kindergarten and New students for the 2018-2019 school year!
Registration (via phone @ your home school): Please call your home school to register your child. The secretary at each building will take your information right over the phone!

We have three Kindergarten transition events that are planned for this upcoming year. This information will all be mailed home to you once you register for the upcoming school year!

Blue Ribbon Playground Improvements - THANKS TO THE PTO!!! Our sincere thanks go out to the PTO, who has graciously decided to spend money from their budget to sponsor playground improvements to be completed this year. This is part of their gift to the students of Sunrise in honor of their Blue Ribbon recognition. Penn-Trafford STEAM Summer Learning Academy - The registration for PT's Summer STEAM academy has begun! FREE AND REDUCED LUNCH APPLICATION: Please consider filling out and turning in the free and reduced lunch application to receive assistance for breakfast and lunch in the school. Eligibility is based on income and all information is completely confidential. The status of the application is not shared and also embedded into student's lunch ID card, therefore, not shared with other students at any time. Message From the Principal
RECENT UPDATES....
We have reached the midpoint in the third marking period and progress notices are being sent home. It is important for parents and guardians to be active participants in their child(ren)'s education. Ask questions, schedule a conference, and get involved in what your child is learning at school. We all want your children to be successful. Please stay up to date and aware of everything that is going on by visiting this website, contacting your child(ren)'s teachers and even volunteering when you are able! Should you have any additional questions about school, please call the school office. We enjoy the time we get to share with your children!
All parents are suggested to visit and explore all the school website information, teacher pages, and Powerschool to check grades regularly. Connect with your child(ren)'s teacher with any questions or concerns. Please let us know what we can do to make the days better for you and your child(ren).

Sunrise Estates Elementary School is a neighborhood school that houses grades K-5. We are one of five elementary schools for the district. Currently, our enrollment is around 316 students. We have approximately 35 staff members that work in the building. We offer half day Kindergarten, both AM and PM. Building services include speech and language, learning support, occupational therapy, physical therapy, and gifted needs.

Peer Mediation Availability:
The goal of peer mediation (if needed for a given child) is for the peer mediators to help our students resolve their conflicts peacefully and more independently, and in turn hopefully teach our students conflict resolution skills.
